Book Highlight - Humble Masterpieces
I'm always talking about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. This book is a perfect example of this. Humble Masterpieces, developed by the curator of MoMA's department of architecture and design, celebrates the possibility of looking at our everyday lives in an all-new way. From M & Ms to Post-It Notes, this is a charming and insightful collection of design marvels from everyday life.

Inspiration

Of course, there will always be those who look only at technique, who ask "how,"
while others of a more curious nature will ask "why."
Personally, I have always preferred inspiration to information.

Orwig's Corner
I've just finished recording some Photoshop CS3 training at Lynda.com. It's always a fun experience especially because of the people at Lynda.com. Some of the other Photoshop guys - Deke McKellen, Taz Tally and Chris Murphy were recording as well which was cool to hang and talk shop.
Last week I had the chance to photograph 2 top athletes for Trek. Ivan Basso - one of the best cyclists in the world and Chris Lieto - one of the best triathelets in the world. The location was the wind tunnel in San Diego they were both doing some aero testing. It was absolutely amazing!!!
It has been a full and good month. When things get cranking I'm always reminded of the need to take sometime to pause. There's nothing like a quick walk with camera in had to clear your head.
Cheers!
